"Assoy is a self-organized DIWO (do it with others) radio project initiated and curated by Ariel William Orah as a sub-constellation of the collaborative platform and art collective Soydivision Berlin. Currently, the project is residing and collaborating with Movingpoets Novilla. At its core, Assoy envisions radio as a catalyst for social change, centering sound in a radio context to archive narratives and cultivate empathy around socially engaged themes. With a keen focus on the diverse universe of diaspora of multiple Souths, both in Berlin and beyond, it serves as a platform for collaborative exploration and expression. The current and planned episodes are poised to elevate this vision, inviting submissions and commissions that span the spectrum of sound/radio artistic practice—ranging from immersive radio pieces to radio novellas and community-driven podcasts. Derzeit befindet sich das Projekt in Zusammenarbeit mit Movingpoets Novilla. Im Kern sieht Assoy Radio als Katalysator für sozialen Wandel, indem es Klang im Radiokontext zentriert, um Erzählungen zu archivieren und Empathie für sozial engagierte Themen zu fördern. Mit einem starken Fokus auf das vielfältige Universum der Diaspora von mehreren Süden, sowohl in Berlin als auch darüber hinaus, dient es als Plattform für kollaborative Exploration und Ausdruck. Die aktuellen und geplanten Episoden sollen diese Vision vorantreiben und Einreichungen und Auftragsarbeiten einladen, die das Spektrum der klanglichen/radiokünstlerischen Praxis umfassen – von immersiven Radiostücken bis hin zu Radioreportagen und community-getriebenen Podcasts.
